Automated Submission Software
All automated submission software is funky. Because these programs try to emulate human, hand-submission
to internet sites that sometimes change or have servers down, the submissions seldom work perfectly.
Automated submission software is a numbers game. The more sites you submit to, the greater number of
functioning sites you'll submit to. Sites run on automated software too, and if the programmers change
something in the site, your submitter software may not submit correctly.
In most cases the purpose of doing automated submissions with software to hundreds, or even just dozens of
sites, is two-fold:
1. To attract human visitors to your website. Thus content should not be of poor quality.
2. To attract search engine attention by building backlinks to your site. Backlinks help your site raise
in the search engines so more people will come to your site by typing phrases into the search engine search
boxes.
Because many of the sites which accept automated submissions run on scripts with bugs in them, sometimes
formatting gets stripped from articles. Sometimes links get stripped out. This would suck if you spent
a lot of time hand-submitting your articles and other content, but when using software it's not that painful and it
takes only a few minutes to submit to a few hundred sites with ArticleBot, for example.
Sometimes the backlinks on some of the sites will be mangled and of no use to you. Sometimes the site
owner makes backlinks not-clickable or "no-follow". Don't worry about it. It's a numbers game, remember?
Of course there are protocols to follow to get the best, most consistent results. ArticleBot, for example,
can submit to any article site that runs on one of three widely-used scripts. Some article sites reject
articles that are "too short" - some reject ones that are "too long".
